When you cooked in a pan, did you make "Big Time Gravy?"
Yes but found it to be too smokey tasting because I added apple wood for smoke.  The water really picks up the smoke.  This time and when I do it in a pan again I won't add smoking wood.   Without it you still get a nice flavour but your gravy won't taste like an ashtray.
