Yellow Kettle
« on: February 09, 2013, 12:22:51 PM »
Some of you may remember the yellow 18" kettle posted on eBay a month or two ago.  Shortly after posting the buy it now price increased to over $200.  During the auction, I contacted the seller and made an offer in the event it didnt sell. No bids were submitted.  So with the help of a couple of WKC members in the Chicago area (Jeff and Brian know who they are.. ;)) this ended up in my stable.  It is used but in excellent condition.  The seller said he got it at an auction and was planning to use it in his man cave.  After he bought it, he spoke to the previous owner who said it hadnt been used for over 20 years and was stored in his shed.  Now Ive got twins.....

Thanks all....nothing special done with the top vent.  Just the usual Mothers Mag and elbow grease.  I think it is just from being out of the elements for all those years.

Stu, both of those are nice! I need to try the Mothers Mag on my vents, so far I've only used it on legs and ash catchers. Very nice score! Double Yachtsmen!
