Has any built a surround/enclosure around their kettle?
« on: August 18, 2015, 07:34:00 AM »
I have a Weber Performer and love it, but those stainless gas grills built into stone outdoor kitchen areas and countertops look nice.  I’ve also seen people put together their own surround/enclosure out of patio paver blocks for their gas grills.  Kettles are a little tougher, based on their roundness (vs the rectangular shape of most gas grills) and the need to access it from the bottom to clean out the charcoal.   I was wondering if any had any pictures of creative things that were built around the Weber kettles.  I’m pretty handy and I’d consider building something if I found an idea that I liked.

I haven't built one, but with the power of Google Images, here's what you get...looks like a few options for getting underneath

@einrej I'm digging the table, I may have to steal that design for a future set up

"Craig" made this grill from a weber grill & reclaimed pallet wood. Looks & work great! Made a hidden drawer for charcoal etc & tray for ashes as pictured.

That's Pretty sweet. A simple wooden slide aside lid bale could probably be added too.

Made this one using treated 5/4 x 6 decking board.

I think Metal Mike's is a pretty sweet deal as well.
