Can someone please identify this grill.

A friend of mine found this at a thrift shop and was wondering if it was a kettle and if so how can he date it.

I hope your friend picked it up?  If he did a shot of the top vent would be great!  I am going to guess late 50's so we'll see how close i am!  BTW that is a cool Kettle!

That IS the White Buffalo !!!!!

The handle sideways to the vent & the holes in the top side of the bowl handle indicates very old.....the color is not like anything I've seen.....ever.......

It's at least 1961.....look at what it says on the lid vent....Weber Bros. Metal Works, or Wood Dale, Ill. & that will tell more.....also, are the little tabs on the vents square or rounded off on the edges?
