Lobster on the Ranch
« on: August 06, 2015, 12:50:21 PM »
I'm hoping the pictures can do most of the talking for me here... pretty self explanatory really 8)

The only thing I will note is that the mixture shaken over the sausage stuffed mushrooms caps consisted of: 1/2 cup of dry parmesan blend cheese, 1/2 cup of Panko Breadcrumbs, and 2 pieces of toast heavily buttered then crumbled. Before shaking it on I took a small spoonful of the crab butter over the caps to add flavour and to give the crumb mix something to stick to.

Here we go! - Area 51 was puuuurfect for this cook ;D

Now I'm getting the stink eye...

Sorry Fella's

Thanks for looking!

Matt

You had me at "on the Ranch"  That first shot is awesome - 51 getting all hot and smokey (nice ash pan BTW)

Wow, what a cook!  Don't see lobster every day (but would like to).

I noticed everything is all lined up and neat on the grill during the cook - they teach you that at the Weber academy?  :)

Your smoke is coming from the wrong place in pic 1! Your food placement skills on the grill are impeccable.

lol no, that's just partly OCD and also to make sure it all cooks evenly 8)

Looks like it would have been worth a trip up. I know they scream in boiling water. How bout on the grill?

I ended it quickly for them before they hit the grill so no screams but some nerve response right at the start which was a bit creepy.

@604   How long did did you grill those lobsters per side ?

My goal was 5min first side, 4min second but I was a fool and thought the shell hadn't changed to a red enough tone so I left them on a min or two extra per side. Pretty sure I overcooked it. :-\

Your smoke is coming from the wrong place in pic 1! Your food placement skills on the grill are impeccable.

Thanks, the smoke is coming from the chimney :)

Nice looking shrooms ;) I love stuffed mushrooms. The lobsters look good too.

Inspired by yours James! These were my fav to date so thanks for the nudge in the right direction 8)

Wow, I'm not normally a big lobster fan but that all looks incredible!  I'm curious to know what taste differences might result vs traditional lobster methods?
