Seeing these shorty kettles make me very happy. I'm glad that people are still making them.

My son did his first cook on his midget. Some pork chops and Minibrats.

I'm sorry, no offense intended, butt I don't get the purpose of this chopping thing. I guess I'm getting too old to bend down. I like mine at the correct height. :-)

Multiple kettles and WSM's. I am not a collector, just a gatherer... and a sick bastard.

and here's the tutorial on how to build a mini weber / midget
http://weberkettleclub.com/blog/2015/04/10/mini-weber-mod-midget-otg/
what's the measurements on a 18 ash bucket? I just did a first try at a mini and it seems like there would be no room for the bucket

They look cool and it's fun to cook on. I'm not super tall but the height works perfectly for me with long BBQ utensils.

@LiquidOcelot the first post of this thread has the ash bucket installed. It fits fine although would proportionally look better with the pot shortened as well.

I was just thinking that last night Joe. What if I chop my DE OTG 22"? Might look into that someday.

@captjoe06 & @kettlebb, I can maybe help you out with legs and triangles to cut down.  PM me if interested.  My bone yard is getting out of control.

I'm also working on a different kind of "shorty" and hope to be finished within a week or two.

I appreciate the offer but I'm in the process of consolidating. Hoping to grab a third gen metal table that was just listed near me. I've got an offer on it and have been going back and forth on a pick up time

Very generous sir and I'll keep it in mind but I have other projects and priorities for the next few months. I eventually would like to make a midget 22 but I'm in no immediate rush.

Got mine done. Ash catcher is next and maybe a tuck-n-carry mod like @Mr.CPHo mentioned. I need a red 18.5 so I can make one to match my truck!!! [emoji23]
