This is a teaser cook on the JJ - meaning it was not a complete meal - That's still on it's way later in the week. @MrHoss that is one good looking meal. @dazzo - tri-trip works every day of the week in my book. Great cooks.

This is my split chicken rolling along nicely. Turned out great - it was paired with a dilly potato and green bean salad.

Cheers -

Here goes my submission fella's...

Couldn't resist but to bring out Old Red for the occasion 8)

For tonight's meal we cooked up some Maui Ribs (thin cut short ribs) along side some WKC Gus'

On the lower deck we have some Melted Onions and Apple Bombs cooking for desert

Here's a cooks eye view of everything on the grill

Happily chuffing along...

Are you ready for this?

Wait for it...

And BINGO! Hot off the grill!

Finally a plate for you, followed by desert a'la'Ida ;D

Thanks for thinking up this event @1911Ron! It was fun pushing the limits of an 18 - these little things are super capable of producing a meal for a small family!

Cheers for looking and awesome submissions so far!

MrHoss

Dinner last night consisted of left over steak and chicken thighs plus fresh corn, green beans and potatoes.

Here are the bean and potato pouches along with soaked corn cobs cooking:

After this was done I tossed on the chicken and beef to reheat.......forgot to take a shot of that.
"Why do you have so many bbq's?"....."I just like lookin' at em' sometimes....and I have enough purses and shoes"

Some simply amazing cooks so far.  Inspirational.

I am cooking for myself these days, so an 18.5 is just the ticket.  My patent pending 49er gets the call:

Decided on green chile burger as the main player.  1/2 lb of freshly ground 80/20, seasoned liberally with @jamesnomore "green chile magic" and then wrapped with bacon:

Cooking indirect with lump.  The pan contains some green chile stew that I made up over the weekend.

Filled the burger well with green chile.

After the green chile, I cracked an egg and poured it over the green chile.  The payoff:  Bacon-wrapped burger with green chile magic seasoning, filled with green chile stew and an over-easy egg, side of green chile stew, and a nice warm flour tortilla to mop up:

Thanks @1911Ron for leading the charge on this e-cook!

In an ongoing relationship with a kettle named Bisbee.

Great looking cooks so far! Here is my contribution!
Starting the coals, for this cook i used Stubbs natural briquets

What do you do when you have a mess of chicken to do?  You add a level!

Taters in the basement and later garlic bread and baked peaches!

Remember that chicken? That plus sliced zucchini and yellow squash!

Photobomb!

The payoff!

Peaches!

We used Weber's coffee rub on the chicken, it was tasty for sure!   Things that i learned was timing of when to put things on and coal replacement for extended cooks, all in all i had fun and pushed my limits for sure!
Wanted: 18" Platinum any color will work
This is my Kettle there are many like it but this one is mine......

Lovin' the cooks so far fellas! Might have to keep an eye peeled for an 18" so I can get in the game. Sold my Sam Adams for extra vacation money in May.

Here is mine and AZ_K_GURL'S 18 cook up. We done an apple pie, some 'turds, stuffed pork loin, redskin mashed potatoes and broccoli.

Used an 18 bud light logo kettle  that I acquired in a trade from argentflame. This is the first time I have fired it up. So onwards with the cook.

The set up. The performer gets to play supporting role today. The 18 gets to have all the fun.

Pie being made

Pie going on the grill at the right temp

Pie cooking

And off so it can cool down

Rearrange the coals and add some lump and apple wood

Get the potatoes down in the basement and the turds up top

Turds coming off and loin going on

Loin almost there and add the broccoli on

Loin off and let it rest before slicing, pull the broccoli and potatoes. Mashed the potatoes

The plate up

The pie served with some ice cream

Whew that was a bit of work there but it all came out. Won't be doing another 18 cook like that in awhile. Thanks to @AZ_K_GURL for making the pie and all the prep help and finishing touches, she makes it all work. Hope you enjoy! We did.

I did not have a 18 that I wanted to get dirty or could easily get to so I grabbed a cheap one on craigslist.  I borrowed a receipe from Alton Brown for some Grilled Cheese Sandwiches. I also made some cookies on small cast iron pans.

Here I am getting her warmed up:

Added some mustard powder, smoked paprika and pepper to a mixture of Havarti and Cheddar Cheese

Split the cheese and added them to some homemade pans out of foil

Buttered some Texas Toast with garlic butter

Popped them on the grill

..and flip

and added cheese to get melty

Once cheese was melted, added to half of the toast

Foiled and then added some cookie dough in cast iron pans to the grill

Grilled cheese done

Cookies almost done

and the cookie all ready to eat

This was actually the first time I ever cooked on an 18. It is significantly smaller than the 26 I am used to but it got the job done.

Prosciutto cups with spinach dip - Baked Rigatoni - Garlic Bread - Raspberry dessert pizza.

To quote @Winz " Mac gets the call "

Browned up some ground beef

Sprayed the inside of the foil muffin tins, made a nest of prosciutto and filled with the cheesy spinach dip , baked until the prosciutto was crispy.

In the meantime I took the ground beef and mixed in some pasta sauce and some par boiled Rigatoni . To half I added some roasted red and green pepper and some spicy Italian sausage I had grilled earlier.

I set up a muffin tin filled with water to protect the bottom of my casserole from burning ,it worked beautifully ;)

Grilled some garlic bread and started desert

Drizzled with chocolate and dusted with powdered sugar

For you !
