The colors of Weber
« on: June 27, 2015, 06:38:49 AM »
I happened across the local Weber setup at Lowes.  I can just imagine the Marketing manager at Weber:

"We can set up a display of all the cool colors for the Q1200 - purple, blue, green, orange, lavender, etc.  And then we can have a display of all the cool kettle colors offered in the U.S. - Black, Copper, Green, ...... Oh well, just put another black lid on the display."

Come on Weber, we need bone, slate, smoke, spring green.  Make it happen!

Or make Red a standard option again OR the Crate and Barrel Blue version
Weber 2015 Performer Deluxe, Weber 2001 WSM 18.5 and a Wilmington Grill 2005 Cape Fear.

I'm not impressed with the Q colors this year. They CAN make bright red on those lids like they did for Ace last year. Plus I think Crimson should be a permanent color available everywhere if not bone or slate or wave blue.

I think Winz is becoming delirious from that AZ heat and doesn't know what he is saying..

I recently heard that part, if not the entire reason we weren't getting the same colors, from Weber,
as the rest of the world is because of California (nanny state) and their stupid rules about toxic, cancer
causing chemicals used to make certain colors, like for example the old red color.

The Q's colors are more of a satin finish than a gloss, if the only way we could get more colors in kettles was satin finish then I am not in on that.
Looking for--- a yellow mbh any size, sequoia ( I know I am dreaming), avocado any size, brownie any size.

I said something along that line to the gent that spoke of the color issue, I told him that when I think
of Weber kettles I think of shiny, glossy finishes not satin or mat finish and that prolly ANY of the
Euro colors in a glossy finish would sell like crazy..
