Mother's day BBQ
« on: May 12, 2015, 11:55:19 AM »
Here is what the family cooked for Mother’s day. A pork loin that was 10 pounds, po (poor?) boy casserole, rice pilaf, swiss chard (bacon and onions) and a water melon salad.
I started off by lighting off two grills the first one was to sear that meat, the second part I cooked it in the indirect method.
I pulled the it off at about 145 and then it sat for about ½ hour, then cut.

Please enjoy the photos.

It was great to have my Mother and Mother in law at my home. I spoke to my Mother yesterday and she was still talking about the whole meal was great!

Lucky man. Good cook!
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

1191Ron,
I will have to ask if they want the recipe given out? You know a family thing.
