Redhead 18" Happy Cooker
« on: April 17, 2015, 12:54:33 PM »
Visiting my girlfriend's great aunt. I see a red kettle, can't believe it's a Happy Cooker. I tell her that's pretty neat. She says, "it's yours if you want it. I'm just happy I don't have to throw it away now!"

Complete with internal ash pan. It's packed in the car, more photos to come after I get it home in a couple days. Some crazing and a few missing porcelain spots, but they are on the underside and I didn't see them until I took the legs off. She said she doesn't think it's been used in 20 years.

Zounds! Very swank.
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch
