Just a mix of k hickory and some apple chunks and a gourmet sear pan.

Ingredients: nothing exciting, velveeta and a local Italian bread..

A great way to turn a boring Tuesday meal into something tasty.

Add some tomato soup to that and it is one of my favorite meals ever!

good job, I love grilled cheese. only thing I'd have added to that cook is bacon, because bacon is awesome and grilled cheese with bacon is even more awesome

We had grilled cheese monday. Told the wife i intended to buy a griddle from Craigslist for kettle grilled cheese.  She asked why i ws still talking about it but hadnt done it yet.

Good wife.

Love me a grilled cheese too. An easy way to elevate the sandwich besides bacon is leftover brisket....my wife loves those.

G$........I agree in the assessment of your wife.

I use my Weber Q for grilled cheese often, in fact I just did it for lunch.
I am not a collector, but I do have a small collection.

@Craig is that red or Crimson and what vintage? It's beautiful.

Never used Velveeta, always been a Kraft single guy but I could give it a try as soon as I find a griddle!

Thanks! It's an AH crimson with a sweet set of walnut double rivet cut 1981 style single screw zavods.

The inclusion of a single slice of deli ham can transform basic grilled cheese sandwiches, because you get just enough of the ham texture and flavor without it becoming a "ham sandwich." It won't steal the cheese's show! Use the thinest slice possible of ham so that it doesn't interfere with anything.

Great example of taking a basic dish and paying attention to details that make a difference.
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

@addicted-to-smoke I couldn't agree more. My mom always threw in an ultra thin slice of deli ham and I can't have a plain grilled cheese (no meat) without missing it.
