www.adhuntr.com is a nice way to search all of craigslist for those who haven't heard of it.

Searchtempest.com is another.

The problem with them is that they index everything, but they're slow to update their index.

With SearchTempest, click on the link and switch to "Direct Results" mode. 


Nice job on your script.  Might want to add just plain "Weber" to it.   

EDIT:    -piano, -speaker and -carbs would filter out some non grill listings as well.

i'll definitely continue tweaking.
i left 'weber' off the list to rule out all of the false positives. years ago i had a great search query, but CL changed the way their engine works

i still left 'weber' off the list. I sampled several cities and couldn't find any kettles that the criteria missed.

Love this clean search. I had a few different ones before settling on weber | webber but of course, without exclusions carb and piano results come back too.

@Troy for the Boolean-challenged among us (and by "us" I mean ME!) how does grouping what you want to search for, en masse, differ from not including parenthesis since everything already has the pipe symbol between them (basically one continuous OR search)?

I deleted the parenthesis and seemed to get the same results since the negative sign will always block what follows?

The parenthesis grouping is actually a remnant of the old method
It used to be in the format of (weber|webber|charcoal)(charcoal|grill|grille|performer|etc) - which works as (this or this) AND (this or this or this)

but then @Craig went and changed how they parse the queries. I think it works out for the better though. The yellow that I found was listed like this:

BBQ $30

bbq bbq bbq
bbq bbq bbq
$30

(no pics, no description, just 6 words to meet the minimum. I really only called on it because it was 10:30pm and I was pissed at the seller for being so freaking lazy)

You really should try Weber 7417 lighter cubes.  I was using $100s, but did not like the messy residue (although I do prefer a nice worn $20 over Charmin any day).
