Sizzling Burger fajita style
« on: February 19, 2015, 05:28:33 PM »
Mrs Winz is working late tonight, so its just me and the dogs for dinner.

Bisbee gets the call:

Gratuitous shot of the amazing Mahogany handle from @MacEggs private stock of wood.  I think the mahogany and copper go well together!

The ingredients.  Not pictured are the 3 slices of bacon that I cooked in the CI pan.  The onions are soaking in all that wonderful bacon flavor.  80/20 chuck patty with some great dry rub.

Added some New Mexico roasted Hatch green chile

Burger patty, bacon slices, green chile, onion, topped with sharp cheddar.

The Payoff.  Sizzling hot burger on a cast iron skillet coated in bacon.  But hey, think of all the carbs I am saving by giving up the bun!

Winz

In an ongoing relationship with a kettle named Bisbee.

Cheee-Boogee.....No Coke, Pepsi !!!!

I'll take up the carb slack as we're at a lower elevation here....

2-1/2# tater....loaded with meatloaf & gravy, artichoke/ jalepeno dip & cream cheese...

Great lookin' burger.....the dawgs don't actually eat the Hatch chile part, do they? (mine do)

    Covered, damper-controlled cooking.....IF YOU PLEASE !!!

Wow nice job I like how you cooked the bacon and then the onions! But best of all you reused the cast iron skillet to have your meal and no dishes to clean up.

That's an awesome looking grill and delicious looking burger!!
I like those Fajita pans because they have multiple uses and applications. I'd definitely add burgers to the list :)

Low carb means more meat
If we were meant to grill with gas then the garden of Eden would have had a pipeline
