What are you cooking for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day? Please share which vessel or vessels you are choosing. Please share some pictures. (or it didn't happen. Even though your stomache says it did.) ;)

All funny pictures showing what's going on at your house while you are cooking welcome too. Especially if they are from Golly! :o

I am making a small New York Strip Roast and sides. I am making it all on the 26'r to be sure there is plenty of room. I will take some pictures during the cook and share them after.

Merry Christmas!

Here are the first few shots.

I rubbed this down with my Cowboy rub that has a little coffee in it.

The carrots are next to it.

The 26'r in action!

More later. ;)

It came out like prime rib! Buttery and soft. 8)

My wife made the garlic mashed potatos and brown gravy with the drippings.

We listened to some Christmas music while we ate and so can you at KNVBC.com

Now wer'e off to look at the Christmas lights around town.

Finished painting a mini for a nephew (thank you Brian for the handles!), did some sledding, smoked prime rib on the mini, and opened some gifts.

Maginificent! ;D Nice bark on that cut. What temp did the mini run at? ???

Thanks Shaun! I had in it the oven at 450 for 20 mins, then transferred it to the mini. The mini temp stayed pretty consistent at 350. I pulled roast off once it hit 130, about two hours total smoke time. My choice would have been 120 - 125, but everyone else like their PR on the medium to well side... I try to be flexible  ;)

Thanks Chad, and nice job! I might do a PR next time. Have a Merry Christmas! :)

Whoa! I just saw the red smoker pics and that awesome handle! Amazing! I bet ol' jimbo is krappi'n in his pants right about now wishing he had one! I also like the shot of the sledding and the family opening presents. Great pictures my brother! :D

Nothing fancy here, just have a spiral cut ham in the WSM and hoping the Bumpuses digs don't get it before its done. I'll try to post a pic later.

I have three racks of baby backs on my platinum.....just foiled them a bit ago.

I have a pork loin roast on the 18....along with little trimmings for snacking.

And a big ole pot o' greens simmering on the stove.   Been cooking all day opened up the fridge together a cold one.....(diet coke that is) ...and realized I forgot the ham!   Oh well....there's always a reason to fire up a grill!

I'm just a traditional Latina cooking up a some good ole southern goodness!
ribs pre-boiling & reaching for the lighter fluid!

Here are some finished ham pics for your viewing pleasure. :)

I threw some yams in as well.

I actually forgot to take pictures diring the cutting, so these are just the end trimming I kept for us because I take a smoked ham to my inlaws house every year and that was all wrapped up first for the trip.

Cookingmama, I would  send some over to you and your family if I could. What you are cooking sounds fantastic to me! :D

Wow they all look great guys! My mother in law and my grandmother still insist on doing the cooking so I didn't do anything this holiday but My mother in law has released next years thanksgiving turkey into my and my smokers loving hands.

Our Christmas dinner - Surf and turn and surf:

I did a reverse sear for the steak but didn't get it off the heat fast enough. I have to move faster! And not have shrimp and salmon competing for my attention. Nevertheless, it was still pretty good. :D

kettles, smokers...
