2015 Kettle Colors Don't All Have Matte Finish
« on: December 13, 2014, 12:25:28 PM »
After I bought my 2015 Performer Deluxe in Crimson, I realized that I like the color but not the matte finish which a few folks on this site have pointed out.

Through a connection, I got hooked up with a few free lids and bowls for the 2015 Performers. As you can see the 2015 Green and Copper Performer bowl and lid are the same old beautiful gloss finish that so many of us have expected and loved. The Crimson is the only one that is the dull matte finish"

Here you can see the differences in finish between the Green and Crimson. Notice the difference in the reflection:

And a better picture showing the 2015 Green color:

Now, I need to go through all my parts and figure out what I want to keep, and what I want to sell/trade. I have several brand new bowls and lids and a couple of used ones, so I will post when figure it all out.

I'd like the Copper lid & bowl - I assume that it has Performer tabs welded on

If you end up with a new performer bowl and lid combo you'd like to sell let me know!  I have a DA performer that has no lid, and a rusted out bowl that would love to be fixed up.

I may be in the minority, but I don't mind the matte color of the Crimson. Then again, my performer is brick red.

Crimsons are sweet! And they darken with heat.

I actually do like the Crimson, especially with the dark metal table. It just doesn't have the pop my mist red Performer SS has, but I think it's growing on me. I guess I'm still undecided whether I'll keep the Crimson or go with the new green. I'll make up my mind soon so I can get rid of some of these bowl and lid boxes and make more room! Here was today's delivery!

I'll keep everyone posted once I figure out what I want to keep and what I may want to trade or sell.

Do you have a source for 2015 bowls/lids and bales that you can share?

I'd love to pick up a 2015 Performer Lid/Bowl/Bale.
