The Versatile Eye of Round

Beef eye of round must be the least popular cut of beef. Yet it’s versatile, tasty and very reasonably priced.
Here is one I got from Costco for $17

Trimmed and cut into steaks



Jaccard and grilled to medium rare, they come out very tender

Also great for Chicken Fried steaks


And of course smoked



If you’ve never given this cut a try, I’d say go for it and you’ll be surprised. At least for now it’s still reasonably priced and I’m sure that would not last long.

Beef round tip is not the same cut as Eye of round, but just as versatile.
