Never used a rack for legs before, but when I spotted this at a yard sale this morning, and took it home for a quarter, I figured now's the time. Never used - the lady had no idea what it was. Very efficient way to cook legs - no touch, no turn, no problem. FYI - this fits on the top grate with the lid closed easily. I swung 'em between a pair of baskets with a few coals underneath. Worked out well. (No photos beyond this one - too busy drinking a Yuengling's.) This gimmick will stay in the rotation.

I've been banking coals to one side behind firebricks when doing a family pack of legs. Could you fit two racks on a single kettle. I've been using two kettles when I cook two packages. It would be nice to have one kettle for meat and use the other for veggies.

I used a rack like that Weber makes.  My dealer gave me one to try out.  I really like it except for cleaning it up.  Otherwise my legs turned out great using the rack and will continue using the rack.

Its no gimmick Marty.  I used one at the Chicago Meet II for the chicken lollipops.  They work great.  One may be in the arsenal for the Sept 7th cook.

I've used it for various chicken cuts including wings and marylands. I can get a nice even cook all the way around without having to flip them. And it's super handy if you are saucing.
If it breathes, we can cook it!
