Yesterday's score
« on: August 27, 2014, 04:47:19 PM »
This past weekend I saw a jumbo joe at target for $42. I left it and decided I would wait a week or two to grab one at a hopeful $30 price tag. So yesterday I was on CL and found a sweet deal on an 18.5 for $15

DT code puts it at 2003. It was already cleaned pretty well, check it out.

Nice!  And, you were patient ... It's difficult to show patience when diagnosed with Weberitis. Well done!  :D ;D ;) ;)

With all that savings you ought to be able to pick up that Jumbo Joe when it drops to $30.

I mean that is how we rationalize around here, right?

In seriousness, great score.

Nice! You can always chop the legs, add a lid bail... and there you have it, instant JJ!

Thanks guys. I knew y'all could appreciate this one. I get her all fired up tonight and made some sweet burgers with ham and swiss on top. As you could expect, she cooked like a champ.

I don't know about chopping her down yet but I will be adding a therm to the lid, and changing out the handles for the darker ones. Other than that, I'm not quite sure how she'll turn out but all suggestions are welcome.
