Here is the squash right before it was ready to come off...

So here is the whole feast right before everyone attacked it, (well almost as you can see uncle Dick couldn't wait and had to jump in) ....I ate way too much, the turkey was awesome so was the rest of everything....even though it's out of view, on the stove, there is 10 lbs of mashed potatoes, gravy, and rutabaga...

Thanks for checking in on my Thanksgiving....

The small Thanksgiving at the Kilted Griller's homestead....

First things first. What self respecting Irish-American would not start his holiday off with and Irish Car Bomb

6.5 Pekin duck, skin punctured, dry brined and removed from the fridge after 24 hrs

the set up...

breast side up seasoned with a homemade blend of black pepper, salt juniper berries, brown sugar, allspice, fresh pressed garlic and mustard
powder (AKA The O'Sheehan Game Rub) and stuffed with celery, garlic cloves, orange quarters and 2 whole jalapenos

My lovely bride enjoying bubbly and getting impatient for dinner along with Keegan, the best gun dog on the planet

Morgan Kelly, AKA "The Risotto Ninja" working on her leek and 3 mushroom risotto

The finished product...

Thank you for sharing Brian and KG!
It all looked so GOOD!
I am thankful I have family to go to their house and celebrate the holidays, but I do look forward to the days I get to have the get together at MY house so I can cook.

Kilted thanks for letting us in your home, it's always nice to see some of the people around the grilling.  That bird looked awesome.  I love the look of those herbs...

Jeff I had about 20 people, they were all excited to see teh grills and everything cooking.  One of my uncles helped me a little, I have a quite a support group so it all goes pretty smooth...

Great job Brian and LG! I love seeing all the finished product and sides. I feasted on a double quarter pounder and fries this Thanksgiving. :-[ I was very thankful for it though. :)

Well, I was between a three hour drive heading to sunny Santa Barbara and had to eat on the road. I did Thanksgiving Cali style!  8) I wore shorts and hung out on the beach the whole time in the 79 degree temps. I  made up for the burger by dining on fresh seafood in some fine restaurants while I was there.  It was worth the sacrifice. ;)

On Thanksgiving I had shorts, sandals and a sweatshirt here, it was almost 60.  Then Friday it was 25 with 50 mph winds...Welcome to Chicago in November.  Oh and today I put up my Christmas lights and it was 27 most of the day.  It was a little chilly...
