My browser seems to resize automatically on most images here but not all...
is this a feature of the image host or is it a forum level thing

Pretty sure it's the hosting site......if photos are uploaded there @ giant size, they'll end up here giant size.....some are so big, ya can't even tell what it is..............

Hopefully mine are not posting @ full size, few have 4k monitors & fiber to the desk.
google claims to "enhance" images & doesn't seem to allow me to resize uploads

That shows 958 x 718.........fills up pretty good, but not overwhelming like up in the 2~3000 pixels level............

Here's an example of real big......it's nice for he screamin' closeup factor, but to get the whole picture, a lot of scrolling is involved............

Thanks, excellent example too, it looks like imageshack.com is hosting those (it was a large 4mb download also)
But I guess between google (hosting) & modern browser rasterizing mine are resizing fine.
I will still see about trimming future posts to ~600x or so (faster up & down speed)

I just got used to doing everything @ 650 x 480 in PhotoPhucket per the guidelines at Smoke Ring& it seems to be enough.....

If there's a time that's needed to get extra sharp pics, then I take them at the way higher resolution & downsize if needed later, or crop out a section of a hi-rez piece......

Other people know way more about snazzy photos than me, like Gummi, for instance:

Fun starts on page 6....the real good pics by him start on 9

I use imgur and it doesn't automatically adjust like it does on other forums that I post on. So when I know I'll be posting something here I'll resize it to about 800x...
