90000 Series Hardware Kit
« on: July 30, 2014, 04:56:45 PM »
I rang Kirsty at Weber yesterday chasing a new OT kit for a mastertouch
I know they've been out of production for a while but somewhere in the dark depths of Webers basement she found these

I've never seen them before and they are full of extra goodies like leg clips, end cap, wheel hubs and parts for the lid bale
Kirsty also gave me a discount and free shipping and they arrived on my doorstep within 24hrs
UNBELIEVABLE SERVICE!!!
Thank you Kirsty and Weber OZ
I'm only 2 or 3 kettles away from being that creepy guy down the street with all the Webers

Here's the instructions that came with it. Dated 1987
I never realised the original Char-Baskets came with a slot in them which is a guide to how much fuel to use when cooking indirect
And how could anyone set up a kettle caddywampus with detailed instructions like these??

That's a sweet find, Hogsy, and a nice bit of history too.  Congrats!

I once got connected with a complete hardware kit for the SS Performer (not the bale and bracket, but every other bolt, nut, and washer, plus the lid rollers I think)...  the CS lady at Weber somehow found it for me and I think she even sent it for free (or very cheap).  It's weird what the right person with the right motivation can pull off on the right day.
