Refurb Manchester 5# tank with OPD valve
« on: April 26, 2014, 09:11:16 AM »
FedEx just delivered my refurb Manchester 5# tank fitted with new OPD valve, re-certified date, and a fresh coat of paint.  It has the flat handle in the back so it will be a perfect fit on my SS performer restore.

Thanks !

Those small tanks are pricey.
I have two 4.25# for boat heaters and you simply pay to play for those as well.

I did a dry fit in the SS performer frame and it fits like OEM.

Not bad for turnkey and oem fit. Enjoy it!

AJ...Shipping was $13 for me.  They shipped from MN to WI via FedEx ground and I got it overnight. The paint looks good, except for the rim on the bottom. They must have set  the tank on a platform and sprayed it so you have a couple rough spot where the paint must have pooled & bubbled while drying. Mine in particular has a few rough spots and small chunks. I may have to take a filer and file the excess down to make it smooth.

Here are some more pictures showing the bottom. Paint job is decent, could've been better. I have a few very small nicks on the side of the tank, but it's very small so I'm not going to worry about it. My main concern was the fit on the performer table like the OEM tank that the seller didn't include with my SS performer.  Fit is spot on and has OPD valve which will connect nicely with the new hose & regulator I just ordered from Weber.  I'm a happy camper and would recommend this vendor if any of you are on the market for an refurb OEM tank with OPD valve.  The black stripe marks you see in picture #2 is from the box. It came off with a light scrub using magic eraser.

Yeah, $19 to ship to the West Coast. Still not a bad price overall.
Hope his work is better than his painting!
