I now have a hankering for some turds ... Looks delicious, Jeff!  :) :)

I used to wrap my turds as if I was taping a hockey stick ...
I now use Ken's (1buckie) method and it is a far superior way.

One other thing I learned the hard way ..
Do not stretch the bacon prior to wrapping. As the bacon shrinks, it squeezes all the good filling out.  :-[ :-[
Q: How do you know something is bull$h!t?
A: When you are not allowed to question it.

Thanks!
I'm liking the direction this thread is going.  Its giving lots of good ideas and tips...which is what I was hoping for.  When you think about it, the possibilities are endless when it comes to making these turds and what to put in them.  Thank you.

Jeff, one thing I've thought about, but haven't tried yet is stealing some of the wife's pickled corn relish & loading some up.....maybe with some sausage to hold those little nubbins still....... 8)

Prosciutto wrap is another different approach I've seen out there in the world......

At the other end of the spectrum would be cheapo baloney.....the "Poor Man's 'Turd"

With the P B & J ones, I try to go a bit lower & longer so as not to melt out.....220 for 2 hours or more kinda thing......maybe up the temp later on after they're sealed up good, so it doesn't take forever.............. ;D

PS: Just got some baby bells, Craig.....more to follow............. 8)

When I did my PB stuffed jalapenos last, I changed a few things.

1. I cut the peppers in half length wise (so it was like stuffing celery)

2. I soaked the halves in water for 1 hour

3. Then I stuffed with peanut butter and wrapped with bacon

4. Cooked them indirectly with peach wood, got the bacon nice and crispy, good smoke flavor too

5. Served them with Apricot jam on the side

They were fantastic.

Just thought of one more thing...I used natural peanut butter.  Less likely to melt out than the stuff that's loaded with vegetable oil.

Hey Ken I found some Melissa's brand sweet baby bells. Thanks for the tip! Flavor wise nothing exotic here, cream cheese stuffed and wrapped in brown sugar cured bacon for the sweets and pepper bacon for the jalapeƱos. Here's a pregame prep pic...

I will be doing some meatballs as we'll. More to come throughout the day...
