The previous owner of my dark-green SS Performer broke the handle off the lid and reattached it with crappy screws. Sometime during this he also chipped the porcelain under the handle. One of the jobs today was to replace the wimpy screws with some SS button-head-allen bolts and touch up the large chip under the handle.
I just wanted to let you know that Rust-Oleum makes a 'high heat' paint that is a
VERY close match to the original color; not exact, but close.

As you can see, it's a 'flat' finish, so it's not an EXACT match, but certainly much better than a large BLACK chip in the finish: (Sorry about the grease stain by the lid vent!)
