Summit Beef Beer Brats
« on: September 20, 2023, 05:07:17 AM »
One medium vidalia onion rough chopped, sauteed with 4 tbsp of Kerrygold butter, 1/2 tsp kosher salt and equal amount of fresh black pepper.  Beer added along with brats and 1/2 tsp caraway seeds.  Sauerkraut was added and allowed to simmer for another 15 minutes.  These were really good.... Cauliflower tots and garden peppers for sides.

Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

NICE!
It's always interesting to try Brats different ways.  I put them on a WSM with beer in the water pan before, just for the check of it. Most people I know boil them in beer & then throw them on the grill.  One person I used to work with would throw them on the grill first & then boil them in beer so that the crispy skin softened up because he liked them better that way.
regards,
Hal
