Sorta,

Doing a 9er over night in order to be fresh and ready by party time tomorrow between noon and 1. Never done a over night cook so im erroring on the side of caution and setting an alarm for every 2 hours to check grill temp and spritz. Gonna light er up at midnight. Wish me luck

You'll do just fine with that setup! No need to wake up once the temps settle in :) I've done several 9# butts overnight  to have it done by lunch. It rolls along just fine and if needed in wrap it in the morning to finish bringing it to temp. Looking forward to seeing your results.

Ok nightly updates.

3 am looking good. Have the bottom and top vents at half and its steady at 250. Was hoping to hold 225 but thats ok.

5:45 , still chuggin along snake is performing beautifully. Time to rotate.

250° at the vent is fine. Grate temp is lower than the exhaust and it is pork butt. It likes a little higher temps usually anyway.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Probably cooking around 225-235 anyway. Looking good!

You wouldn't have had to get up to check it. I frequently run a snake all day long when I'm at work.

Waking up just isn't an option for me. I usually have had a good 8-12 beers by the time I go to bed when doing an overnighter lol.

Lol. I always look at smoking pork as 1 beer per pound. If the pork is 10lbs I drink 11 beers 1 for good luck.

I let mine go to 195 to 205 then wrap with foil and bath towel and put in cooler.
