Hit the farmers market, and made some dinner in the rain. Asparagus blanched in water for 2 min with salt, pepper, crushed red pepper, then shocked in ice water. Corn with salt and pepper, and butter and cooked in foil.

Chicken marinated in my own grown rosemary, fresh lemon, salt and pepper. All grilled on hardwood lump in the rain. I Put the blanched asparagus on the direct heat for a minute or two at the end. Rendered the fat off the bone-in thighs on indirect heat , then moved to direct for the end.

Great looking meal! Asparagus on the grill is my favorite vegetable.

Looks good - it has rained all night and all day here. Won't stop until tomorrow morning in northern NJ.
