Kosmos Wing Dust??
« on: March 13, 2018, 06:12:48 PM »
I'm just another guy on a wing kick because of the vortex. I found some kosmos wing dust at my local bbq store and was wondering if y'all have tried it. Does just dusting the wings after cooking put enough flavor?

Ditto. And, I know nothing of the wing dust you speak of. I use www.madhunkymeats.com products exclusively...  8)

I looked it up. That salt and vinegar flavor dust sounds good.

I'm curious about this too.

I cooked a batch last night. They definitely need a dusting before and after. They didn't have as much flavor as I had hoped by just dusting them after cooking.

I have been using their garlic Parmesan wing dust lately.  I cook them sous vide first, shock in ice water and finish on the grill or in the fryer.  B3W's Garlic Parm sauce to finish.

It's stupid good!

I've also used their Honey Killer Bee on bone-in, skin-on breasts and a pork butt in the smoker.  Also pretty good.

My experience is, no matter what you "dust" with... the longer the better before the cook. I usually go 6 to 8 hours.
