The fun way to clean your grill
« on: September 29, 2017, 08:10:52 AM »
Previous night was chicken thighs. This was pork chops cooked uncovered. I lost a few arm hairs and the bowl and ash bucket were on fire. My wife was surprised how fast the chops got done. They were surprisingly good.

Glad to hear the food was good and the fire didn't get out of control.
Looking for: Red MBH 26"(The Aristocrat), Chestnut-coppertone (The Estate), Glen-blue (The Imperial), and The Plainsman.

The food worked out because they cooked quickly and I never covered. I theorize that if I covered even briefly that it would have had a negative effect on the flavor. However it was border line needing covered to contain the fire. It was fun watching the fire shoot out of the ash catcher and running along the one touch to the outside. Definitely not something to try on a wood deck. I'm on concrete with nothing over head and it wasn't windy.

And it did do a good job of cleaning up the bowl. [emoji41][emoji3]

that looks so cool in so many different ways. of course people that cook skin on chicken on a crappy gas grill recognize that as the norm LOL
Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

You got that right about flare ups on a crappy gasser and skin on chicken.

It was fun. No sitting around on this one.  I thought about closing the one touch to reign it in a little without covering. but it was on fire lol
