Bye-Bye Charcoal!
« on: March 29, 2017, 08:38:19 PM »
HEY...got a friend to take my month-old 18" Weber Kettle off my hands!

Now it's Propane all the way, with my new Lime-Green Weber Q-1200!

See ya...

That's right Hal. There is a gas section here at the WKC. If I read right I think you are now able to upload pics since you got it all figured out? I'd like to see your Q in action sometime.

Thanks, everyone!

We've been having frequent high winds up here in the high Mojave desert, so I haven't had my first grilling on the new Q as yet, but it'll be soon...either a Ribeye, a T-bone, or a Porterhouse, just awaitin' in the freezer!

Yes, I'm able to upload pics, but only on the WKC Pic Forum.

Hey demosthenes9,  (That sounds like a classic Greek Statesman/Orator)

Yowsah...that's my baby, sittin' on my 9-foot billiard table.

Hey huntergreen,

I did have both, but got rid of the Kettle, because I only need one grill to cook on, my new Q1200 gasser.

@HiDesertHal tHal  Congrats, your gonna love it. I have an original Baby Q. I don't use it much, but when I do, it is a steak cooking machine! Did you get an adapter hose for a 20lb tank? Great color choice as well 8)

HEY GUITARFISH,

You could form a band, along with a Bass fish and a Drum fish!

No I won't be doing enough grilling to warrant the large capacity of the 20-lb propane tank.  The two 1-pound tankettes I have will probably see me through the year!

Not being a grilling fanatic, I'll probably grill no more than 9 times throughout the balance of the year, which works out to be 1 steak a month!

HiDesertHal, with no marinade and no indirect grilling!
