RHR wings with homemade vortex
« on: February 19, 2017, 03:36:11 PM »
So got the Red Hot Riplet seasoning today.  Then on a whim cut up an old stock pot for a homemade redneck vortex.  Worked surprisingly well I'd say.  Pretty happy with the flavor aver I dusted them again when they were finished.  Next step would be to try and make a sauce using the seasoning as the base to really get that flavor.

Where did you find the seasoning? I'm looking for it. Those really got a dark color. What wood did you use?

I ordered it from there website.  It's not gonna be available in stores fir a little bit.

I used some pecan.  They did get a little dark fir my taste and I only cooked them about 30 min with one flip.  Usually I use the basket method on the 26, this time I used that homemade vortex on the new SSP [emoji16].  For lack of a better description that fucker was screaming!
