The new app is nice.. but why are non kettle related
Posts on it? If we need advertising, we don't need the app!!

I don't care a bit about the ads.  You can scroll right past.  Also with the app it allows for uploading your images directly so that's a bonus

My guess is it's either a way to pay for the app (because all of this is free) or its something built into taptalk. Just scroll on by. I too love the direct pic uploading.

It's both.
The WKC scrapes by with ad revenue and people shopping through that Amazon link up top.
