Kids Kooking on Kettles
« on: October 13, 2016, 08:44:40 AM »
I have been a fan of kids learning the ropes in cooking, no matter what age or the stage, be it the kitchen, or the outdoors. This is time well spent showing them, teaching them, nurturing them. This is my 7 year old grand daughter Emily at the wheel... Poke Chops! And she knows her way AROUND the Vortex! She told me when she was 6 years old, that the most important tools in BBQ are the pinchers and the stabbers... The tongs and the thermometer... can't argue with that!  :)

Pop Pop's li'l helper! Thanks for peekin'!
Multiple kettles and WSM's. I am not a collector, just a gatherer... and a sick bastard.

I totally agree. My youngest daughter is always helping dad cook out on the grills. The first 18" I bought, we found together at a yard sale and she claimed it as hers cause it was the right size!

What a great time to spend with your g-kids (correct?). Reminds me of Trace Adkins "She just thinks we're fishing" song. Good job, brother! [emoji106][emoji106]

So Mrs. Cellar2ful sees the picture of Emily over my shoulder and comments, "She is darling and her nails are so cute".     ???
