Did some plain regular kabobs , nothing fancy. Boiled the corn and potatoes a little bit before putting them on the grill with the idea that they would be ready when the shrimp and Conecuh sausage was. That was the theory, in reality the corn was just right but the potatoes weren't quite there. No biggie though, they just went back to the grill to finish and we'll have them tonight. Kabobs were basted with some butter and dusted with Tony Chacheres.

Nice lookin kabob Eastex! I never would have thought of that combination and say it looks tasty. I am going to make some kabobs soon and you have given me some new ideas. :)

Those look good!  Will have to give doing kabobs a whirl someday.

This is my Kettle there are many like it but this one is mine......

I told my wife it was basically a shrimp boil on the grill

Onions were going to go on there too but the other cook had used them all :-\

Like the way you pre cooked the spudsĀ“nĀ“corn. Shrimps goes really fast if you dont aim for that rubber texture.

That looks great.  I've never seen corn put on a kabob like that.  Good idea.  I'll try that sometime when I do kabobs next!
Kettle collector AND cooker!

Bring a sharp knife !
The potatoes needed to cook a little longer, they were great the next night. Some bigger shrimp wouldn't have been bad either but you go with what you've got sometimes.

I can see a ring where they were cooked sufficiently in the picture. You need to pre-cook them before putting them on the skewer to match the cooking time with other stuff. I did broccoli, potatoes and burger patties last night and the potatoes went on first to get a head start. Otherwise it all looks pretty good.  :D
kettles, smokers...

Yeah, with the shrimp you basically need to totally cook the potatoes because of the short time for the shrimp. Next go around I'm just going to do the potatoes and everything else on their own skewers because we served it like a regular shrimp boil and just made a big pile in the middle of the table. Hmmmm grilled crawfish???
