Tri-Tip is $3.99lb at Sprouts
« on: November 06, 2015, 03:40:57 PM »
I hope you guys don't mind me posting this stuff... ::)

I was just at Sprouts and saw that "Choice" Tri-Tip is $3.99lb.

I think that's a darn good price for this cut (at least here it is!)

I'll be making room in the freezer for a couple for sure.

Usually, these sales end on Tuesday and a new one starts in Wednesday. Just a heads up.

Show us how it turned out.

@Davescprktl

Here ya go!

Started a small pile of Stubbs, got that going good, threw on four pretty large chunks of Red Oak and burned it down a bit. Tri-Tip was seasoned with scottsfoodproducts.com "Santa Maria" seasoning. I seared it over the flames coming from the wood chunks and finished indirect. Very happy with the results of this cook.  :)
