@Russell C. I like the vortex. I haven't used it in all the ways depicted on the website but I do think it makes the best chicken wings (http://weberkettleclub.com/forums/bbq-food-pics/my-best-vortex-chicken-wings-with-blue-cheese-salad/) and is a great sear station for anything from steaks to kebabs.

I still need to try it as a nest for basement beer can chicken and might give it a try as a shield for the shoulder butt ham I'm smoking in a couple weeks.
