I have a 1999 Weber Spirit 700 with a quick disconnect regulator. I just went to exchange propane cylenders and after exchanging I discovered teh connector on the new cylinder was different from the quick disconnect on the old weber. What adpater do I need? The new connector on the cylinder looks like this

Did your old tank have a coupler on it that you didn't take off? You now have a tank that requires a screw on regulator. Solutions would be to acquire a screw on regulator or a quick connect coupler. The coupler would most likely be cheaper but needs to be removed every time you exchange tanks.
The coupler looks like this

old tank had a different valve that didnt have any removable connectors. Would it be easier long term to change regulators to this one?

Whether it is easier is entirely up to you. In my experience, there is no advantage to using a quick connect over a screw on regulator. Both will work just fine, including the part you linked. Pick which ever option is more convenient for you.
