I just scored a 18.5" WSM and want to do this, nicely done!

Does the new metal table on your Performer fit perfectly? I want to put the metal table on my second generation performer and the gal at Weber said it would not fit. I wasn't prepared to buy it right then, so didn't press the issue.

Yes, the new metal performer tables fit perfectly on the older performers with the plastic tables. I ordered mine straight from Weber.
