Gentlemen,
The city cut down a maple tree in my front yard this summer. Looking at different types online, I believe that it is a Norway Maple. Has anyone ever used maple for smoking? I know that Norway maples aren't as good for syrup as sugar maple trees. I'm wondering if the Norway will make a good tasting smoke. Any advice would be appreciated. Otherwise, I'll just throw some sacrificial meat on the grill and find out after it's done seasoning.
