It was delicious. I don't know if it was using charcoal or the simple salt and pepper rub, but this tasted really good compared to the ones I've done in my bradley smoker and weber gasser. Yummy :D

ZINGO !!!!

Looks nice !!!!

The charcoal cooking, any rub that you like, letting the cooking run it's course completely AND the rest period all add up.......nicely done !!!!

Next time around, fill that Weber pan up w/ some beans & get some soppin' bread............ ;D

Beans? What kind of beans?cSounds like a good idea other than water. ;)

Nate

Disregard. I just saw the link you provided.  ;D

click the link & have at it !!!

I doctor up Bush's Original, use canned pintos & baby blacks together, boil & simmer from dry if I have the time......
Canned beans, except for Bush's, get rinsed off most of the way 1st or they'll be too much liquid at the end........they'll be too much liquid at the end anyway from the meat drippin' in there........just stir in & ladle out some of it so they aren't too soupy.............
add crisped up bacon, ham chunks, or leftover pulled pork to bulk them up if you want

Sweeter additives go better w/ pork, more savory stuff w/ beef...........

That 1st link with the picture of the snake had ones done with beef.....Bob's-beef-o-rama

Nice lookin' eats, Nate !

And as always, journeyman secrets from Jedi Wan Buckie !

I noticed the drip pan getting a layer of oil on top prevents good steam / evaporation (hence my water / beer can approach & its easy to add another can (as it's empty or move it around above the snake's heat))

Add water already HOT & punch a couple extra holes in the top sides too

Cheers

Thanks for the tips and pictures! I'm a newbie here but think that I'm ready to try something like this out! I'll start a new thread when I get around to doing this in the next week or two...

Buckie, I've also seen a few of your threads that you have linked, so I'm going to be reading over those in more detail!
