deleting new post

i'd like to be able to delete a new post.  other forums im a part of have this capability, as long as noone else has replied yet.

would have been handy for example yesterday when i posted about a new grill for sale on CL, then the CL post was taken down a minute later.  I had to edit my post saying it was down, when I wouldve preferred to just delete it altogether.

if this capability is already available, how do i access it?

I have disabled it.

You can edit the content out of the post, and then alert a moderator to delete it for you

Just because a post is removed from CL doesn't mean it is not interesting to us!

I particularly like to agonize over great deals I've missed. 

And if you've snagged the URL of any images that accompany the post, we can still ogle those for some time after the post is removed.
