Anyone have a older style Ranch Kettle (Mothership)?    I need the measurements of the leg lengths.  I picked up a free one that the legs had been cut to facilitate it's use as a fire pit.  I would like to return it the correct height.

I received the correct leg measurements on my post on FB Wide World of Weber.

I have already passed it on to another local grillfella. He picked it up last night.  He is not a Forum member but I will ask him to send me a couple of photos of it.

Nice find. Hopefully it will be back to grilling food instead of burning wood.

Here's a photo of the Mothership, right side up.  The curled lip around the lid had rusted almost completely off.  What was left was jagged, sharp, rusted metal. Because he has a young son that he was afraid was going to cut himself on that metal,  the new owner ground off the curled lip.  After doing so he found the lid would no longer sit on the bowl.  The curled lip apparently was an integral engineered design to hold the lid on the bowl.  He came up with this fix that I personally think looks fantastic.  He used the chrome strips Weber uses on the Kamado and the gas grills.

Nice to see that this Mothership will soon be cooking again.  Gotta love the spin lines on the lid and the bowl.   Another great example of RRR.

Here's a larger pic showing the spin lines.
