Midweek chicken thighs

I bought a package of chicken thighs and cooked it partway through the week in order to have leftovers for meals through to the weekend.  I made them two different ways to break up the monotony:





Half the package got basic salt and pepper with the idea of sauce being put on later and the other half got a dry rub











I ran out of leftover potatoes and asparagus after putting together a plate for lunch at work so I got out some leftover pasta sauce and made some penne to go with a piece of each kind of chicken for dinner.  It worked out well and the last of it'll take me through Saturday.

I figure since I showed the pasta sauce with the finished food, I should probably show making it since there's a lot of people here who are also into cooking with cast iron:
