For anyone that's replaced a vent on their lid be it restoring or refitting after a custom job, I've found a good option that fits well and secure and looks pretty much OEM. I've searched for a good dome head stainless bolt over here but couldn't find a good option til now...

Got hold of these stainless m6 rivets and some starlock washers. Seems to do the trick well, won't rust out and no bolt to come undone. No rivet gun needed just press the washer on like the wheels. Can get em on eBay or Amazon. Anyways thought it might help someone to share, cheers

Nice option, I like this.  I've got a couple that have SS allen bolts with two nuts and lock washer inside that hold well, but this looks more stock for sure.  Thanks!

This is perfect! I've been looking for this for a few of my grills so the timing couldn't be better. Thanks for sharing, man!
I think I might need a bigger backyard soon...

I am turning an old electric Q into a charcoal burner and have cut a vent on the side, I have used a SS screw to mount the damper but its not the best, I think you have found my solution
Thanks Tommie
