First Vortex Wings

I know.., I’m late to the party! Just used a Vortex for the first time. What a game changer!! 

For years I was happy with the basket in the center for my wing cooks. Had good results so I figured there was no need to get a Vortex.

Was gifted one recently so I gave it a roll today. Absolutely buried the T-mom in minutes!!

Nice crispy wings in 40 minutes. Well I think I found my new best friend.

PS- just found the Franks Red Hot. It has a flour like consistency with great Buffalo style flavor without the butter. Good stuff!

I love my Vortex. Used it for years.
Lately I rarely use it. I like cooking my wings indirect from a HOT bed of coals. It makes me be a part of the cook. Using the V is too much set it and forget it for me.

Your wings look fantastic.

@22ket~tle  I would say the Jerk seasoning is my favorite for wings.  This one is very mild but has excellent flavor.

The next step should be for you to get a Weber GBS grate so as not to wreck your existing grate with damage from high heat in one spot, good for you on the Vortex
