Good morning from sunny California! Been cooking on a basic 22" kettle for multiple years now because I'm too cheap to buy something larger. Yesterday I bit the bullet and went with a 26" kettle which I'll be cooking on today. I was really close to buying a ranch kettle but scared myself out of the purchase and almost regretted it instantly. Anyways looking to start modding and playing around with the 22". Looking forward to seeing what others have done.

I swear, when I score a great deal on a 26" I'll stop buying grills... So often.

Broke her in with a practice run last night. 2 Tri tips reverse seared with a few baked potatoes and plenty of extra space.

Will be cooking three racks of St. Louis ribs this weekend.

The 26 is a solid purchase.  The Ranch is great, but it is really better to grab them second hand at a fraction of the cost.  They have their uses, but you will honestly probably use the 26er more.
