question about sear grate insert

I got one of these with my new master touch.

will I need to season it before the first use and if yes how?

I usually season new cast iron, like my Lodge pans, by coating it in vegetable oil or olive oil, then doing a dry run without food, brining it to high temps. Then I let it cool down, and re-coat with vegetable or olive oil.  May need to re-coat the first few uses. You can tell when it is no longer shiny and looks dry.

It’s porcelain enameled cast iron and doesn’t need seasoning
