Convert extra 22 into firepit?

Hi All
Long time lurker but first time poster!
Have a a extra 22 that I want to convert to fire pit. Wanting suggestions on how much to cut off of each leg. Thanks for any help.

Take the legs out and place it on the ground on the sockets, they are pretty sturdy just like that. Could always get those bricks to lay around it too

Also, this is only allowed with newer kettles.  Do that to an oldie and face the wrath of this group lol!

For those interested. I ended up cutting off 10in off of each leg.
Mission accomplished. Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

That'll work, plastic handles = modify it however you like!  : ) S'mores in your future!

And also swap out the plastic handles or they will melt on a fire pit. Have fun.

I made a couple kettle firepits over the past number of years.
One 22" and one 18".

I was leery of the "wobble" factor, so I fabricated a stand.

Works great!

I like the red one (big surprise lol).....The built in ash pan is nice.

@MadGasser , I made them using steel.
I had the flat-bar rolled into rings at a machine shop.
It's very inexpensive to do. I did the welding myself.
