Long story, but Jay offered me a blue to make room for a red he wanted to get.  It's a DO code.  As luck would have it, my daughter was going to be at St Mary's College of Maryland for her conference swimming championship, and Jay's daughter goes to school there.  This made it easy, as Jay's daughter was a good sport and kept in her trunk for two weeks  until we came up.  Got her home and set her up.  Ain't she pretty?  Doing a bunch of drumsticks with my new Vortex to inaugurate her.

Thanks @jaynik for passing on such a sweet cooker to me!

It had to be fate!  What are the odds that our kids would be in the same place at the same time, or that mine happened to be home in time to grab a grill?

Enjoy it @namtrag .  That grill was really good to me!  Glad you could give it a new home.

It had to be fate.  She's doing a good job so far.  45 minutes into the first cook.

@namtrag, For a second there I thought it was that dk. blue 18.5" Jeep/Lite Beer logo kettle up in Gloucester, that you messaged me about not too long ago. Believe it or not, it's still available.

Actually, @Neil_VT00 probably made the fateful connection since he told me you were looking at the same grill as me.  I had forgotten about that.  It's like a spider web.

Nice work!
I've been really loving the blues lately

The legs turned out great!  I was a little surprised they took so long with the Vortex (50 minutes), but that damn thing burned on for several hours.  The grill was still hot to the touch at 10:30 pm, and I put the chicken on at 6:00.

Now my next thing is getting used to not having a thing to put my lid on, or a side table (I am used to using an SSP).  Or am I going to go down the rabbit hole of accessories? lol

@RRRanger99, I am so surprised that Jeep 18" is still available.  I think it's a pretty rare model.  My wife has said no more grills, so I can't get it.  If it weren't tax season (I am a CPA), I might go get it and try to pass it on to someone in the Club.  It's just such a PITA to go to Gloucester from here.

Haha, Jay texted me and showed me how the lid goes on the lip...what a stupid I am!! lol

Now that he showed me, I recall seeing it in tons of Troy's videos.
