Weber summit pork butt
« on: April 22, 2016, 01:20:24 PM »
They had pork butt on sale for .99 a lb. so I pick up a 9 lb. and thought  that would be a nice cook on the new summit and I will have tell you I am Impressed with it I cooked this hot and fast to see how it turned out and it turned out great, it was a 9 lb. that took 7 1/2 hrs. till it hit 198  then I wrapped it in foil for 1 1/2 hrs., I cooked it 350 for 3 hrs. then I drop temp. to 300 for 4 1/2 hr. I will be doing this again

HELL YEAH!!!!!!!  Nice cook.  I still don't do my shoulders or butts hot and fast but have seen and tasted plenty of them and they come out just as good without spending nearly as much time.  Looking forward to more SCG cooks, pics, and reports!

The pulled pork looks great and so does your new cooker, thanks for sharing! I had the opportunity to see one up close today and might go back tomorrow to see it in action.
